Ambulatory Service Provider

Overview

Joy Medical Transportation is seeking an experienced and compassionate Ambulatory Service Provider (ASP) to join our dedicated team. As an ASP, you will be responsible for providing non-emergency medical transportation services to our clients, ensuring their safe and comfortable arrival to and from their healthcare appointments.

Responsibilities

• Provide door-to-door transportation services for clients to and from medical appointments and other healthcare-related destinations
• Assist clients in and out of the vehicle, including the use of wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility devices
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and well-organized vehicle to ensure a comfortable ride for clients
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure the well-being of clients
• Communicate effectively with clients, healthcare providers, and the Joy Medical Transportation team
• Maintain accurate trip logs and documentation as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Experience in non-emergency medical transportation or a similar caregiving role
• Ability to lift and assist clients with mobility devices as needed
• Excellent customer service skills and empathy towards clients
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and client confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in First Aid and/or CPR
• Experience working with elderly or disabled clients
• Bilingual in English and another language

Schedule & Location

This position is based in our central dispatch office, with the expectation to provide transportation services within a 50-mile radius. The schedule is primarily full-time, with some part-time and on-call opportunities available. Flexible scheduling may be considered for the right candidate.
